Our Academy Founder and the Texas Director of Cho's Tae Kwon Do, Master Cho began training in 1982 under the tutelage of his father, Grandmaster Kya Ha Cho, and his uncle, Grandmaster Hee il Cho. Master Cho won numerous local, state, national, and international championships from 1985 to 2000. Master Cho opened our Copperfield School back in 2004. After the passing of his father in 2014, Master Cho splits his time between Our Copperfield Academy and the Westheimer Academy. 

Technical Director for the Texas Schools of  Cho's Tae Kwon Do, and the Copperfield Academy School Manager, Master Blackbourn has been teaching with Master Cho since 2007. Master Blackbourn brings over 25 years of experience to our academy including multiple disciplines of martial arts including: Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Submission Wrestling, Filipino Kali & Filipino Boxing. Master Blackbourn Teaches over 95% of classes taught at our Copperfield Academy. 

Master Blackbourn is also an active member in the martial art community including being an affiliate of Sensei Erik Paulson's Combat Submission Wrestling Organization as well as one of the first international affiliates of Guru Bob Breen's 4D Combat Organization.

Instructor at Cho's Tae Kwon Do, Coach Meg brings over 20 years of Martial Arts  experience to our school. Mrs. Blackbourn competed at numerous competitions in both Tae Kwon Do, Karate, and Wushu, even competing on international stages. Head coach of our Wushu Program & Head Coach of our TKD Demo Team, Mrs. Blackbourn is also a Registered Nurse and works in the Intensive Care Unit when she's not at our Academy Teaching.
