Our Tots Program is specifically designed for our youngest students, providing a fun, structured, and positive environment where children can develop important life skills while learning the fundamentals of martial arts.
At Cho's TKD, we understand that young children learn differently than older students. That’s why our curriculum focuses on age-appropriate activities that keep students engaged while helping them build confidence, independence, and a love for learning. Through games, movement, encouragement, and achievable challenges, students begin developing the habits and skills that will help them succeed both on and off the mats.
Rather than simply teaching punches and kicks, our goal is to help children build a strong foundation for future success. Every class is carefully designed to create small victories that encourage confidence, perseverance, and personal growth.
Mental Skills: Focus, Discipline, Teamwork, Memory
Physical Skills: Fitness, Control, Balance, Coordination
For many students, this is their first structured activity outside the home. Our instructors work hard to create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
Because confidence isn’t something children are born with.
It’s something they build here.
Every Black Belt was once a beginner, and many of ours started right here in our Tots Program. Is your child ready to take their first step?
At the heart of everything we teach is respect — respect for our instructors, our parents, our teammates, and most importantly, ourselves. Through positive encouragement and strong values, students learn the importance of integrity, humility, and self-discipline while building confident character both on and off the mat.
Our program helps students build lasting self-confidence and strong self-discipline through goal setting, consistent practice, and positive encouragement. As they overcome challenges and achieve new milestones, they develop the confidence to believe in themselves and the discipline to succeed both in class and in everyday life.
Through our age-specific Tots classes, children participate in fun, challenging drills and activities designed to strengthen focus, improve concentration, and build important listening skills in an exciting and supportive environment.
Kids can seem to have an endless supply of energy, but with an appropriate outlet, kids can become more focused and develop a disciplined mind which can help with school & home life.
Have your child begin to learn good habits early. In our classes we teach our students the value of hard work and with Perseverance & and Indomitable Spirit, anything is possible.
We try to install the importance of healthy living and an active life style. Martial Arts training is a great way to increase fitness, flexibility, strength, and coordination.

The Tot's curriculum is the same as the kids allowing for an easy transition once your child has reached an age where they can be advanced to the kid's class. However, the Tot's curriculum is broken down into smaller more manageable chunks that are easier for the young ninjas to learn and build on.
All of our programs are seperated by age and experience level, and this is no where more apparent than with our tots program. These young ninjas need to be be in a structured, positive, and fun eviroment and we know this. We built our Tots Program from the ground up with these things in mind.
We believe that these little ninjas need to be challenged but at the appropriate time. We employ a healthy balance of both physical exercises & mental drills to help our students build both strong minds and bodys. Our physical exercises help our students with flexibility, strength, coordination, and agaility while our mental drills help your child develop focus, their memory, self-control, and most importantly their self confidence.
All of this is done in a safe, structured, and exciting environment.
How old does my child have to be to start classes?
Typically, we'll start students as young as 3 years old. But kids aren't cookie cutter. Some three years old walk in ready to go while others will need to wait till they are a little bit older to before they start. We offer a FREE introduction lesson allowing your child to jump into one of our classes so they can try it out. This also gives our coaches time to make sure that they are in dead ready for training.
How often should my child come to class?
First, every child is different with their needs being different. But we offer classes 5x a week to help parents schedule classes into their busy schedule. With tots, we usually suggest starting them at 2x a week to maybe 3x. After several months of training, they may pump it up to 3 or 4x a week. Depends on the child.
How does it work when my child transitions into the kids class?
Starting a new class can be a scary experience, especially when you are with a whole bunch of bigger kids and we understand this. Each child that is transitioned to our kids class is done so according to what the individual child can handle. Some, walk right into the big kids class with no problems at all, while others may need a transitional period. Either way, our instructors will help your child every step of the way.
